How do I create a profile?

If you are a creator, or looking to be one, you start off by registering. Once you have done that, you will need to select your subscription level. From here you will be directed to your homepage which is where you will set up your profile.

How do I create and upload my comic book?

You will need to log into your account and access your studio. This is where you can upload all the pages for your comic book and order a proof. You can then publish your book on the site and start processing sales. Consider following the  handy step-by-step How-To (PDF) guide.

What are the subscription options?

We have a Freemium and a Premium subscription. The first being free, while the second requires a monthly subscription fee that will give you access to preferential production prices, basically a saving of £1 per item – makes sense if you are selling more than 20 items a month. Premium subscribers also get better pricing on bulk printing.

Is the Freemium service really free?

Yes, you only pay for the production cost of the product you sell. Using the site and listing products is completely free. Cost + Your mark-up = Your Retail Price. We pay you your mark-up every month directly into your PayPal account. We don’t make any money until you do.

How long is the cancellation period?

You can cancel your subscription at any time.

Am I limited to only selling on Artithmeric?

No. You are free to make use of as many platforms as you like.

Do you only list comic books?

No, you can upload merchandise in the forms of t-shirts, posters and fine art prints. Want to upload something that we haven’t mentioned? Pop us a mail and we will assist you in uploading your product.

Who are the curators of Artithmeric?

You are. You are in control of what you create and what you list on the site.

Who owns the artwork?

You do. You created the work, we simply facilitate the selling process.

Is there really no waiting period?

You do not have to wait. As soon as you have created your masterpiece, you can list it in your store and sell it. You determine when your product goes on sale.

Where do you guys ship to?

Global shipping.

Comics shipping charges – please explain?

Shipping costs for comics are £4 per batch of 10 comics. So if you order anything from 1 to 10 you will be charged £4. Makes sense to fill up that basket with 10 comics and save on the shipping costs.

How long do I have to wait?

We have a 7 day turnaround time.

On what paper are the comics printed?

The covers are printed on 130gsm silk, and the text pages are printed on 80gsm un-coated paper.

What are the posters printed on?

Our A1 posters are printed on 170gsm gloss paper.

What are the fine art prints printed on?

Our fine art prints are printed on a 270gsm archival fine art paper.

What about your t-shirts?

Our t-shirts are digitally printed to the highest specification on Gildan heavy cotton shirts, in both male and female cuts.
